Digital Twins in Dairy Learning

Our course:
This course introduces four digital twins used in the LVZM alongside a real plant for comparison. It covers systems such as plate heat exchangers, separators, and a dairy plant operating room, as well as raw material planning scenarios. Interactive elements like quizzes and exercises support learning and provide feedback. Students gain insight into how digital twins enable repeated practice, improve understanding of plant components, and build confidence for real-world applications. The course also highlights connections between virtual and real systems, allowing learners to test optimizations, explore scenarios, and identify errors. Accessibility features include text display and audio narration to support different learning needs.
Learning outcomes:
understand the connections within the short-time pasteurization system and the separator.
are familiar with the technical facility and understand its connection to the digital twins.
use the digital twin of the plant as a tool to identify the effects of changing parameters.
learn about the applications of digital twins in industrial production.
